Founded in 1914, the hotel had its heyday during the 40’s and 60’s, when it was even considered the best hotel in Latin America.
During this time, when the nights were lulled by huge orchestras, the Parque Balneário’s refinement attracted names such as Nat King Cole, one of the best singers in the music history, who performed at the hotel.
In 1966, Parque Balneário was sold to the Santos Soccer Club, which installed its headquarters there and still maintained the Hotel for a time, until the building was demolished.
Some years later, the terrain received the Parque Balneário Hotel once more, in a construction that also features the Balneário Shopping Mall, as well as private buildings.
The Grupo Mendes was born with its pioneering light. It was the first to believe and intensively invest in the growth of Santos Lowland, with entrepreneurships such as malls, convention centers and model buildings.
